This term marked strong progress for students, with celebrated milestones and opportunities that linked learning to future work and study. At Wadja Wadja High School, the end of Year 12 brought proud results, with six students graduating and five achieving a QCE. At Wadja’s metro partner school, Carinity Education Rockhampton, 19 students also graduated, completing their QCE or QCIA. Across the partnerships, students also built practical skills through qualifications and hands-on assessment tasks. Year 12 students successfully completed their Boat Licence, and aviation students undertook VET assessments using drones. TheTiwi College and Scotch College partnership remained focused on local jobs and training, with plans to strengthen VET pathways in agriculture, conservation, and land management. In the Dhupuma Barker and Barker College partnership, career exposure continued through sessions with resource companies and Flinders University and the partnership provided a strong example of what a pathway can look like with a former student returned in 2026 as a FaFT intern while working towards their Cert III in Childcare.
