Peter served on the Barker College Finance Committee from 2008 and more recently as Chair of the Barker College School Council. He has seen firsthand the establishment and impact of the Darkinjung Barker campus and is passionate about growing the partnership model for other communities. Peter has 30 years of experience in the financial markets and funds management industry. For the past fifteen years, Peter has run his own financial services company. He was previously a founding Managing Director and Treasurer of Zurich Capital Markets Asia. Prior to this Peter was Asia regional treasurer of Bankers Trust Company, in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Prior to this, he held various positions at Bankers Trust Australia. Peter received a Bachelor of Economics in 1986 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1988 from the University of Sydney and has been a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 2003.

Our nation must have the courage to own the truth and to heal the wounds of its past so that we can move on together at peace with ourselves. We want a future where all Australians enjoy their rights, accept their responsibilities, and have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. We dare to hope for a united country where all Australians respect this land of ours; value the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage; and value the unique cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and those who have come more recently to this land.
